Saunders Music LLC has launched a new web site (www.saundersmusiccompany.com) that attempts to address the needs of the entire worship experience. Providing instantly downloadable tracks after purchase, the selection catalog includes hymns such as “Oh How I Love Jesus”, “Victory Is Mine”, “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”, and “I Surrender All”. One can also find communion selections for first Sunday services such as “The Blood” and “There Is A Fountain”.
Gospel music has always been an integral part of worship in the black church, ranging from the deep soulful sounds of the spirituals and hymns, to the rich and upbeat selections of the contemporaries. They provoke deep, emotional and inspiring praise and worship, which has led African Americans as a people down through the years. It is “the music that sets the tone and cultivates a fertile ground for God’s spoken word to be received.”
This makes the church musician also a crucial part in the house of worship. With the declining economic times, it is becoming more difficult for smaller churches to find someone who is qualified to fill this role. Some congregations have had some success in using instrumental music on CD, for their choirs to sing along to. But, the song selections are quite limited and not able to support an entire worship service.
SaundersMusicCompany.com showcases a large collection of gospel music songs, and many of today’s more recent artist songs can be found here as well, from Andrae Crouch and Walter Hawkins, to Fred Hammond, William Murphy, Kirk Franklin, The Williams Brothers and many more. If a desired song is not listed in the current catalog, Saunders Music provides an additional service of a studio creation.
