Adrian came from humble beginnings. Born in Puerto Rico, he came to New York with his family at the age of four. His creativity and curiosity fueled his imagination which eventually led him to explore the fashion and entertainment world. Here, he got his start as a dancer, fashion model and photographer where he worked with some of the highest esteemed artists and fashion designers in the business. His vast knowledge of design, fit and style and his love of color, fabrications and high-end fashion eventually inspired him to start his own line, ADRIAN ALICEA HAUTE COUTURE.  Adrian’s exclusive designs have been worn by celebrities such as Zoe Saldana, Linda Evangelista, Blanca Soto, Marilyn Manson, and Paris Hilton just to name a few.

ADRIAN ALICEA HAUTE COUTURE continues to receive accolades and has been recently profiled in Vogue Russian, InStyle, Spoon, Flaunt, Marie Claire, Numéro and GQ. The S/S 13 collection “HYBRIDS OF THE DEEP BLUE SEA” received a standing ovation and was dedicated to the late Anna Piaggi. The event was held in the historical St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral on Park Avenue. Following that presentation, Mr. Alicea’s creations were featured on the Ellen DeGeneres show and on Fox 5.

Continuing on in his success, this next show is set to be even bigger and better than the last. There will be special appearances by reality stars Karen Gravano and Renee Rizzo from Vh1’s Mob Wives as well as the fabulous walk of Plus Size Supermodel Christina Mendez. Actor and producer, Fidel Vicioso of Law and Order, will host the show.  Major media coverage for this event will include Telemundo, Fox 5, ABC, NBC, NY1 and Univision, Fashionstyle TV and much more.

The theme for this season’s showcase is “CHRYSALIS”, which is inspired by Adrian’s perception of the universe.  Exploring infinity through the eyes of his designs, which are known for being unique, colorful, sexy and awe inspiring, is his main goal. Through this rebirth, he is also proud to introduce his CoutureCurves line, which is where plus size and couture meet and happily marry.
