Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter KANDI BURRUSS is pleased to announce that her motivational anthem, “Stay Prayed Up,” positions itself as #2 on this week’s Billboard “Gospel Digital Songs” chart. Last week it was the #1 song proving to be another dynamic hit from the award winning Burruss. This comes as no surprise; upon the song’s initial release it soared to #1 on the iTunes Christian & Gospel song chart. Burruss teamed up with gospel great, Marvin Sapp on the inspirational tune that Jet Magazine remarks as “uplifting.”
Next up is KANDI’s fun-filled talent show, The Kandi Factory, which premieres on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 10pm. Kandi, who serves as the creator and one of the Executive Producers of the show, lends her abilities, along with her team’s, to a process of molding upcoming talent giving them her star-making stamp of approval. The acts go through a full round of artist development from choreography, image consulting, down to the creation of their very own original song written by Burruss herself. The exciting twist is that there’s no long drawn out process and a winner will be chosen after every episode with a digital release of their song, a music video, and a cash prize to accompany their win. Kandi’s personal artist development is a fresh hands-on approach that sets Kandi Factory away from the rest.
KANDI is a Grammy award winning singer, songwriter, producer, actress and multi-faceted entrepreneur. She started her career with three consecutive platinum-selling albums as a member of the female R&B group, Xscape and would later go on to make history as the first woman ever to receive the ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Award in the category of Rhythm and Soul.
