In 2007, Southern rap fans mourned the loss of one of their heroes when UGK producer/rapper Chad “Pimp C” Butler was found deceased in an upscale Hollywood hotel room. But much like the real story of the days leading up to this tragic event, most of this enigmatic musician’s life has remained a mystery, relegated to rumors and entertaining tales relayed in late-night studio sessions while the truth is lost to the hands of time.
