MC Mitchski Launches The Scorpio Collective and Releases New Album!

MC MITCHSKI THE RAPPIN’ COMEDIAN LAUNCHES THE SCORPIO COLLECTIVE, INC., A MANAGEMENT & DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION COMPANY

MC Mitchski the Rappin’ Comedian has been in the music industry for some time now, starting out as a rapper and recording underground classics like “Brooklyn Blew up The Bridge” and “Kool DJ Red Alert is a Great Man.” He has appeared on various projects including DJ Red Alert’s We Can Do This, as well as the world famous book Ego Trip’s Book Of Rap Lists and its companion album the Ego Trip presents The Big Playback.

Throughout his career, MC Mitchski has held various positions in the music industry working at music retail, music distribution, and at indie and major record labels.  After years of experience in the business, MC Mitchski launches his own Management and Digital Distribution company, The Scorpio Collective, Inc. “I’m finding a ton of talent out there that I’d like to help and I’m in a great position to do so. I’m not just looking for anything; I’m looking for diversity, creativity and projects with an angle.”

The Scorpio Collective’s first signing is a pop/electronic band from Sweden named FULKULTUR. Their song “The Ugly Dance” has become a huge viral success from the interactive website TheUglyDance.com. The site allows users to put their face on an “Ugly Dancer,” create their very own dance to “The Ugly Dance” song and share it with their friends. The song is currently available to buy on iTunes. The Scorpio Collective is also working with an Asian, female, hip hop producer Kay Kay On The Beatz who will be putting a hip hop twist on “The Ugly Dance.”

The Scorpio Collective recently signed comedian/rapper Mr. EBT who has been stirring up controversy with his hit song “My EBT (Swipe).” Mr. EBT puts a comedic spin on the abusive use of a food stamp card, but some believe he is taking a stab at the welfare system.  He’s recently appeared on NY Daily News, Fox News and RT America  to discuss the controversial song. Mr. EBT will be releasing “My EBT (Swipe)” and his new single “Dollar Fries” on i-Tunes February 14th.

MC Mitchski also releases his own album tomorrow, Laughing All the Way to the Bank through his new venture. The album features the classics “Brooklyn Blew up The Bridge” and “Kool DJ Red Alert is a Great Man,” along with a few songs he used to perform at his live shows including “Goya & Freeda.” “I can’t believe I’m putting my old school music out at this point, it’s kinda crazy! I feel like I’ve come full-cirlce.”
