There are only a total of 31.2 percent of African American students who enter college as an engineering major and graduate with a degree.

The Smart Bunch series was created to educate and entertain children, grade levels K – 5. Additional games and activities will be developed to keep the parents and children involved in STEM activities. The eBook market has been growing over the last few years. According to the Association of American Publishers (AAP), eBook sales for January to August are up from $89.8 million for 2009 to $263 million in 2010. The 193% sales increase means that eBooks now account for almost 10% of consumer book sales in the U.S., up from 3.31% in 2009. The demand for interactive children’s eBook apps is strong. Children’s eBooks continue to dominate Apple’s app store leading the top paid apps in the books category.
