(NEW YORK, NY) Korner Theatricals in association with the Negro Ensemble Company is pleased to announce that TV and film veteran Khalil Kain and Obie award-winning actor and producer J. Kyle Manzay are joining to play the roles of Scag and The Great MacDaddy in the first major revival in 35 years of the Obie award-winning play THE GREAT MACDADDY. Award-winning director Alfred Preisser helms the new production, which begins previews November 8th at 8:00 PM and opens on November 15th. The Great MacDaddy is the first production at the new 777 Theater in the Broadway theater district, at 777 8th, New York, NY. Further casting will be announced at a later date. Read more…

Rap, R.A. the Rugged Man and others.  The 18-track album promises to add another chapter in the growing legacy of Vinnie Paz’s uncompromising brand of hardcore hip-hop.

However, the self-proclaimed “Mecca Don” has finally returned with the Kenny Ali II laced “Ask About Me,” the lead offering from Smooth’s highly anticipated, soon-to-be released sophomore collection, The Emancipation Of Corey Penn.

“Ask About Me,” a jazzy, head nodder, sees the “Caramel King” waxing poetics, while firing off this warning shot to all those non-believers and naysasyers, while in typical CL fashion still showing and proving to always be “top fifty all-time dead or alive.” It’s undoubtedly another (future) classic for the record books.
