TOUR WITH KINGS OF LEON TO BEGIN NEXT MONTH
January 27th, 2014 – Singer, songwriter, and guitarist extraordinaire Gary Clark Jr. won a 2014 Grammy Award last night for “Best Traditional R&B Performance” for “Please Come Home.” The song appears on Clark’s debut album for Warner Bros. Records, Blak And Blu. This is the Austin native’s first Grammy Award. Originally nominated in two categories: “Best Rock Song” for “Ain’t Messin ‘Round,”  as well as “Best Traditional R&B Performance” – “Please Come Home,” this marks the first time in Grammy history that a single artist has been nominated in two different genre categories simultaneously from one album in the same year.  Read more…

TAKE IT PERSONAL Will Feature Hip Hop’s Elite Each Show
SBOE, Cipha Sounds, Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer of Comedy Cenral
New York, NY, January 22, 2014 – On Friday, January 17th, 2014 Slow Bucks/ S.B.O.E, Queens based rappers and CEO of clothing company Slowbucks were featured in the Hip Hop Improv Show – TAKE IT PERSONAL presented by Hot 97’s Cipha Sounds and  Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), the top improv theatre and school in NYC. Improvisers from Cipha Sounds’ team A Tribe Called YES (Abra Tabak, Anthony Atamanuik, Christian Capozzoli, Brandon Gardner, Natasha Rothwell, Lydia Hensler, Shaun Diston, Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer (from new Comedy Central show Broad City) and Cipha Sounds) reenacted stories originally told by Slow Bucks/ S.B.O.E.

During the show, SlowBucks and S.B.O.E shared stories about other members of their team and their many experiences of owning a military tank which apparently they drive around NYC! Cipha Sounds said, “Laughter is universal, and my goal is to bring all types of people together to enjoy a great show. Two girls with a new show on Comedy Central called ‘Broad City” mixed with Queens based hustlers Slow Bucks/S.B.O.E makes for some great comedy.
