NEW YORK February 24, 2014 – Justin Bieber’s music video “Baby” has delivered more than one billion views across Vevo, making it the most watched clip ever on the world’s all-premium music video and entertainment platform.
The music video that made him a household name, “Baby” is 10x CERTIFIED – and Bieber is the youngest artist to reach the milestone. With his 20th birthday approaching on Saturday, March 1, Bieber’s “Beliebers” fan base made a concerted effort across social media last week to encourage viewing of the video ensuring the star would reach the one billion mark while still a teenager.
“Baby” is the only music video to be 10x CERTIFIED across Vevo. The video, along with six other Bieber clips (“Never Say Never,” “One Time,” “Somebody To Love,” “Never Let You Go,” “One Less Lonely Girl,” “Love Me”), was among Vevo’s inaugural CERTIFIED class when the 100 million views milestone program was unveiled in June 2012. Bieber’s “Mistletoe,” “Boyfriend,” “Beauty and a Beat” and “As Long As You Love Me” videos have since joined Vevo’s 100 million views club, giving the singer 11 CERTIFIED music videos.
