1st ANNUAL DEAL MAKERS “SEALING THE DEAL CONFERENCE” – A HUGE SUCCESS IN OKLAHOMA CITY, OK.
Uniting UP & Coming Artists with Top Industry Executives; Tribute to Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett.
NEW YORK, NY – Hundreds of excited up and coming music artists from Oklahoma City, OK and surrounding areas, jam packed a chic venue at Studio 12 in Oklahoma City this weekend.
The summit presented by New York-based talent, branding and lifestyle company ‘The Ravenel Agency’ gave select artists a one of a kind opportunity to meet experienced veterans in the music and entertainment industries. Artists participated in a power panel where they received invaluable advice about how to make it in the industry, a one on one assessment of their work and performed.
Conference leaders included: Lenny Santiago (Roc Nation) , Eric Parler (Def Jam), Young Sav (Maybach Music) and Steve Carless (CTE/Atlantic Records), media heavyweights Vanessa Satten (XXL Magazine) and Reggie Hawkins (SiriusXM) plus television producers Maricarmen Lopez (VH1) and TV Executive and Publicist More Media LLC CEO Alvina Alston. Maybach Music Group’s “Stalley” also shared his personal insight on breaking into the business.
“It was important for me to bring “The Deal Makers Conference” to Oklahoma City after discovering the wealth of undiscovered talent here. I wanted to expose OKC to the real deal makers of the business. My aim was for attendees to not only learn from seasoned professionals but to gain insight on the do’s and don’ts of the business. Participants also were afforded the change to secure a record deal on the spot…all of which happened to my delight “says Amber Ravenel, Founder/CEO of The Ravenel Agency.
Another major highlight of the event was the presentation of the first “Deal Maker of The Year Award” given to three term Oklahoma City Mayor, Mick Cornett. Mayor Cornett received the award for his continued notable achievements, including the successful lobbying of the city’s first major sports team, the Oklahoma City Thunder and for being the impetus behind the region’s very successful quality of life infrastructure programs.
“I hope everybody understands the incredible music scene Oklahoma City is about to create. There’s incredible investments pouring into this city to help create the type of venues, production facilities and not to mention the talent that will establish Oklahoma City as a hot bed for the industry” says the Mayor.
The “Deal Makers Conference” is already in production for its next stop. The organization is expected to visit more than 10 cities including Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Atlanta, Memphis, Cleveland and Seattle.
