(ATLANTA) May 13, 2013 – On Thursday, the People’s Station V-103 along with Atlanta radio personality/HGTV host Egypt Sherrod, the Egypt Cares Family Foundation [ECFF), Black Opal Cosmetics, AMBI, the Island of Aruba, I For Talent Management and Sister 2 Sister Media celebrated Mother’s Day with ten deserving metro Atlanta moms as part of the 4th Annual Egypt’s Mommy Makeovers. Hosted at Hair Design by Future Vision salon, mothers Helena Fountain, Martha Newton, Sandra Surrey-Davison, Nancy Grimes, Deborah Brown, Antoinette Woods, Tibet Crowder, Renee Jones, Charlene Carter and Faith Ware received complete hair, make-up and wardrobe styling, while munching on treats provided by Gourmet Express.

Workout 357 by Legendary Dance/Rap group Oaktowns 357 sets the Fitness Industry on fire with the new Hip Hop Healthy Workout

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usStarting their career as the main dancers for MC Hammer and eventually having a successful solo career as Oaktown’s 3.5.7., Sweet L.D. and Lil’ P are no strangers to fitness. Their high-energy dance routines are part of what made them popular in the early 90’s and it was still keeps them healthy and happy.

Interviewed by Allhiphop.com in March for Women’s History Month, Oaktown’s 3.5.7 stated that they were working on a fitness program and they kept their word. Workout 357 is a high energy dance/fitness program that combines world beats with urban flavor and takes Oaktown’s 3.5.7. fans on a proverbial trip around the world, while helping teens and adults enjoy being fit. The Hip Hop Healthy way.
The ladies, who were already in talks about bringing out an enjoyable, hiphop based, daily workout felt that the passing of legendary rapper “Heavy D”, who once was under the same management as the group, really served as motivation to do so…. Another big motivation for the project was Sweet L.D’s loss of her brother at an early age to Diabetes and the fact that she herself suffers from High Blood Pressure… In conjunction, these things ultimately led to the decision that it was not only important, but also necessary to add a healthy component to the project. Tells All in Dec. Issue of Sister 2 Sister Magazine

The ladies of Oaktown’s 3.5.7 Sweet L.D. & Lil’ P recently sat down with Stephanie Dayton of Sister 2 Sister Magazine to discuss the new single “Get Up On It”, produced by Ty Macklin aka XL7. With a mature, mellow tempo and a groove that can still have you dancing to the great sounds of Oaktown’s 3.5.7 “Get Up On It” has really been buzzing with underground DJ’s. Sweet L.D. & Lil P explains the new single and the impact they plan on making with the song.

Sweet L.D. (Suhayla Sabir) who is currently a Zumba Instructor, and Lil’ P (Phyllis Charles) who is the owner of a Medical Supply company, also explain the true “behind the scenes” story of their years with MC Hammer and why Lil’ P left the group after two years. While the ladies enjoyed success as the “original posse” with MC Hammer, they weren’t happy with the way they were treated and are very vocal about it in their candid interview with Sister 2 Sister.
