“Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to pay our last respects to a ‘friend’ that has been dear to many musical artists, fans and readers….that ‘friend’ is HIP-HOP BEEF.”

What forward-moving purpose does Hip-Hop beef serve? Can someone please educate me? I was a little thrown aback by the recent beef that spread quickly throughout the Internet and radio shows involving Common and Drake. cd_cover.jpgThe release date for the highly anticipated and controversial novel, “My Blood, My Sweat and My Tears” by Jewell, is set for October 25, 2011, available as a digital e-Book, along with the official Soundtrack of the same title, from Besthand Entertainment. The commercial for the tell-all book is available now on YouTube, containing music from the soundtrack.

The books physical release date is yet to be announced, but expected later this year. Songs featured on the commercial include “Sleeping with the Enemy”, “Everything’s Gonna be Alright”, and “If You Believe”, which will be the first single taken from the soundtrack. Read more…

Soopafly Readies New Album, Dogg Pound Rapper/Producer, On Tour With Snoop Dogg

Platinum music producer/rapper Soopafly has completed recording his new studio album, tentatively titled Best Kept Secret. The rapper, who is currently on Tour in Europe with Snoop Dogg, hasn’t pencilled in an exact release date for the follow-up to 2007’s Bangin West Coast, but is expected to release the disc in the fall.
