Sheek Louch, YG and Rockwilder Share all via Cipha Sounds’ Hip Hop Improv TAKE IT PERSONAL Will Feature Hip Hop’s Elite Each Show Take It Personal ft Sheek Louch New York, NY, December 4,  2013 – On Friday, November 29, 2013, Sheek Louch was featured in the Hip Hop Improv Show – TAKE IT PERSONAL presented by Hot 97’s Cipha Sounds and Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), the top improv theatre and school in NYC. Improvisers from Cipha Sounds’ team A Tribe Called YES (Lydia Hensler, Shawn Diston, Phil Jackson, Ryan Karels, Michael Kane, Tami Sagher, and Cipha Sounds) reenacted stories originally told by Sheek Louch.   During the show the rapper shared a story about how he first met Missy Elliott and that she was the mastermind behind the legendary rap song “All About the Benjamins.” He also touched on why he isn’t on as many songs as Jadakiss and Styles P. Cipha Sounds said, “I have been trying to get Sheek for the longest time. Finally he came through and told a story about how Missy Elliot was the person who orchestrated ‘Its all about the Benjamins’ song. Where else can you hear stories like this? NOWHERE!” Rapper YG and Producer Rockwilder were also recent guests of Take It Personal. YG told a story of a botched robbery attempt while Rockwilder told as story about an ecstasy encounter in Los Angeles. Music was provided by DJ Drewski of Hot 97 and Sirius XM. TAKE IT PERSONAL will consist of famous hip hop artists either performing monologues, sharing personal stories, performing their songs, or being interviewed on their lives for source material.  A group of talented improvisers will then use that material to create a totally made up show. You will be amazed on how the hip hop artist’s story is brought to life right in front of your eyes. “Watching an improv show is like seeing someone walk over the tight rope without the net… But way funnier,” said Cipha Sounds.

Hot 97’s Cipha Sounds is an actor, dj, radio personality, and comedian. He is on the radio Monday through Friday 5am-10am on “The Hot 97 Morning Show” and on Saturdays 5pm-7pm on New York’s number one station HOT 97.  Cipha has carved out a distinct voice in music and comedy over the past 15 years. Past work includes official DJ for Lil Kim and Mos Def, host of  Sucker Free and TRL on MTV, and resident DJ for Chapelle’s Show.
