Chicago MC Verbal Kent‘s new album, Sound of the Weapon, is out today. The entire record was produced by Soul Council member Khrysis (producer for Jean Grae, Evidence, Elzhi, Talib Kweli). In addition, the title track has been remixed by Grammy Award winner, 9th Wonder. The album features hard-line braggadocio, comedic flare and social awareness from the veteran MC.

The Away Team ‘Scars & Stripes’ Album Cover + Track Listing

The Away Team (Emcee Sean Boog & producer Khrysis) are set to release their new album ‘Scars & Stripes’ on October 11th through Jamla / It’s A Wonderful World Music Group / Duck Down Music.

The cover of the album depicts a photo from the 1965 Watts Riot, a large-scale riot which lasted 6 days in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA.
