The Industry Cosign’s Top Ten Magazines (Reposted from The Industry Cosign- August 19, 2004)

OK, I’m back and I think I’m staying this time! Between trying to bring great writers and content to the site and the overall business of the site, I have neglected my duties as an All Around Good Guy. I am bringing back the Top Ten list! And more blaring Cedit, oops, I mean, more interesting topics and discussions that Needs To Be Ced!

Anyway, we all read or at least we should all be reading and i have soooooooo many magazine subcriptions that I can open up my own newstand! With that being CED, here are 10 of my favorite magazines! (In no particular order!)

1. Vibe– The leader in urban entertainment, you can’t front! A good set of writers and stability.
2. XXL– Arguably, the best Hip-Hop magazine currently on newstands, The YN, Elliot Wilson, arrogant and all (and with every reason to be!), sets the tone and raises the bar when it comes to journalism and not holdiing tongues!
3. Blender– A good music magazine that usually has a great number of reviews in each issue.
4. Maxim– For obvious reasons, the great articles are very informative (Yeah right!)
5. King– Our Maxim. The Eye Candy is spectacular! Need I say more? (Hey Datwon, you have until April!)
6. Complex– Although it can be at times, I do appreciate the editorial content and product reviews.
7. GQ– Although I can’t afford MANY of the clothes advertised and showcased inside, it does show you what style is about and keeps you updated as to what the big dawgs are checking for. (We do need a black GQ!)
8. Time Out New York– This is, of course, a New York-based publication that keeps people abreast of the happenings in the city. Food, Clubs, Movies, anything having to do with entertainment, you can find it in here!
9. The Source– A lot of people will disagree with listing The Source and I have my reasons not to, but, outside of the obvious Goliath attitude and blatant abuse of authority by it’s ‘owners’, they still, at times, are relevant (when they don’t have their own agendas to carry out)! What up, Boogie! Dakota, always have luv for you!
10. Forbes– Sometimes you have to aim high and when you do, you have to know who to aim for!
